Philly and San Jose take the ice tonight putting the Sharks on a back to back after a shut out win over the Devils. The Flyers should win tonight with Sam Ersson in net but I don’t believe they’re -275 favorites. The Sharks are a different team this season with Macklan Celebrini and their offseason acquisitions, but Celebrini has been limited to only four games after sustaining an injury during the preseason. In those four games Celebrini has three goals. Listen, the Flyers should win tonight, but these head to head matchups have favored the Sharks in recent years with as bad as San Jose has been. The Flyers themselves are struggling starting the season 5-8-2 and what I like about tonight’s game are the lines. This is strictly a play based on lines and recent history. If you want to hedge yourself then throw the FLyers ML in a round robin or parlay just to have action, but I like the +225 line on the Sharks to win and the team total of 2.
I need to update the past week history but we are still up a good amount on this season. I want to go heavy on this play tonight expecting a push at worse. I have no problem with you scaling down to protect your bankroll but we have been in very good shape the past two months with not only NHL but NFL as well. Dallas has lost 3 of 4. Two of those losses came overseas to the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Their most recent lost was to the record setting Winnipeg Jets who have started the season 14-1. The Penguins are coming off a win against the Capitals after blowing a 3-1 lead to the Islanders. The Capitals were due for a loss and they rebounded with an 8 goal performance right after. Dallas has won five of the last six against the Penguins and they want blood tonight. This is the perfect matchup for them to do so. Joel Blomqvist is in net for the Penguins and he’s given up less than two goals in two of his seven starts. One of those was against the Capitals playing above his head, and the other was against a lowly Buffalo team. I expect Dallas to come out like gangbangers tonight and mop the floor with the Penguins. I am putting it all in play here and once we know where we’re at by 8:30 will depend how much we put in play on the Kings and Preds/Avalanche game.
