Ghost’s Tuesday 12/17 NHL Breakdown

Tonight will be pretty straight forward. All of our focus will be in Tampa Bay. This over has been a staple for us whether it’s been the game total or Tampa Bay team total. This game is projected to be run by the Lightning with their total coming in at 3.5 and Columbus’ total at only 2. Tampa Bay should control this game offensively and I like it more with Jet Greaves starting for Columbus. Greaves saw the Lightning last season and gave up 4 in a 5-2 loss and I see the game going similarly.

There’s too many other games on to make a play here. I’d like to see Buffalo get out to an early lead but neither team is stable enough to take a side. Montreal has controlled this series winning six of the past nine and Patrik Laine gives them an additional boost. Buffalo has the edge in net and the more individually skilled players but they’re on a 10 game losing streak.

The Rangers have lost 10 of their last 13. Jacob Trouba is gone, Chris Kreider was put on the trade block, and Artemi Panarin is out tonight. Roman Josi is out for Nashville. There are two elite goaltenders in net who both are having sub par seasons; Saros better than Igor. Personally, I think the Rangers 2.5 team total is too low and would have played it on a smaller slate.

Carolina’s money line is a parlayable piece.
