We had a massive day yesterday sweeping the first three games. I chose to lay off the Canada game and don’t regret it. The games start an hour later today with Slovakia and Switzerland kicking it off.
I’m surprised to see this line as low as it is for Slovakia. They are by far the better team and country. The Swiss are a team that could wind up in the relegation game when the group stage is over and we will be backing Slovakia here. The game got out of hand at the end yesterday with Sweden but Sweden is an elite team that could wind up in the finals. Slovakia opened the scoring and managed to get two more at the end after the game was over. We will gage this game live to see how their defense holds up against the Swiss but pregame we are starting it off strong.
Finland comes back today against a Germany team that the US demolished. Finland should have similar results today. The reason why we did not play the late game last night was because Finland is a team that can take anyone down on any given night and Canada did not end the tounrmanet strong last season. Finland has the perfect rebound opportunity here and should showcase why they are a top 4 team in the tournament.
Sweden and Canada should compete for the biggest blowout today. I am intrigued to splash a little on Kazakhstan today solely on the fact that Sweden lost their first back to back game last season against the lowly Germans. +5000 is a juicy splash to hedge the Sweden plays we are going to make. Sweden dominated the Slovaks after the first period yesterday and should put up 8+ today.
We will see how the first three games go before making a play on Canada. The lines are very pricey and if we sweep the day again I won’t see a need to play the night game especially with NHL back.
