Welcome Back everyone and Happy New Year,
We have a full slate tonight. Buffalo is doing what they do every year. They go on a big win streak inserting themselves back into the playoff talk, and then go on to lose just as many. They had won ten in a row and their last eleven of twelve. They head into NYC tonight against a Rangers team who has been completely abysmal at home. The Rangers are averaging 2.64 goals per game this year but even less at home. With Igor Shesterkin on the IR, and Buffalo starting Colten Ellis in net tonight, I do expect there to be goals. The second the Sabres lose two games in a row in the next week we will be playing against them until they win two in a row again. The Sabres have been a sell team in the past after these long winning streaks, so lets see if history continues to repeat itself.
I’m not making an official play on the Devils Penguins game tonight but I will be using the alt line game over in a parlay using 3.5/4.5. The Devils have fallen apart since Jack Hughes weird off ice injury. The Penguins have been hot as well so I do expect some goals, just not positive the game gets over 6.
The Hurricanes should roll on the Ducks tonight but they’ve had trouble scoring against them at home in the past. I have two other favorite games I love so the Canes total of 1.5/2.5 is more of an alt line parlay piece for me tonight.
I think the Canucks/Red Wings game will be open tonight. Historically these two don’t consistently score a lot against each other, but I think we see different tonight. Over 5.5 is -160 so I’m not going to go too heavy on it, but I do want it.
Colorado is my favorite play tonight- the 3.5 team total is high at -185 so I am going to give it a few minutes and hit it live. I would include the 2.5 total in a parlay as well. I will be including plays I recommend if you’re able to alt line parlay as you can see going forward and I’ll throw some suggestions at the end of the article. If you cannot hit live or alt line parlays then I would hit this pregame.
I have been dealing with being sick the past three days so I know this article is a bit light. I should be good for Saturday for a more in-depth article and a new article breaking down the unit structure after tonight.
