Good morning everyone,
Yesterday was a regrettable day off. The over in Detroit and the over in Colorado were on my radar, but decided to lay low. We have a full slate today with NHL and NFL and there is a lot to like. Today will be a stay home and watch games all day so there will be a bit of action in play.
Remember, with the new bankroll breakdown, the posted units will be lower, but the value of each unit should be higher. Break your bankroll down to have multiple weeks of deposits available, and then allocate that bankroll to have a bigger unit. 1 unit should be one full unit, almost like a max bet, but not that one unit is your whole bankroll.
In the NFL, I want to start with the late game before any lines change. The NFL should come down to the 49ers and Rams in my opinion. They are the two best teams and I believe whoever wins that game more than likely wins the Super Bowl. There’s some injury talk with Darnold, but even with Kittle out, the 49ers are too good. Even a fully healthy Darnold isn’t enough for me to think he gets a playoff win today. I want to hit the 49ers every way. Purdy is a smart QB and he has the weapons he needs to pick the Hawks apart. While Seattle came in with the fewest points against this year, they had one of the easier strengths of schedules heading into the season. Seattle went 5-2 against playoff teams this year, but their two losses were the Rams and 49ers, who they split the season series with. Their other loss was to what should have been a playoff team with the Bucs. I am just simply not impressed by this team.
For the early game, I do like the Bills here. The BIlls kryptonite in the past has been the Chiefs, and while people may not think the Bills are as good or as strong of a team as they’ve been in the past, Josh Allen is still the best QB in the AFC remaining in these playoffs and you are betting on him to get the Bills to where they haven’t before. Bo Nix will be a great QB in the league long term, and so will Drake Maye, but it is not their time. Maye did not look great last week against the Chargers and the matchup will be exponentially harder tomorrow against the Texans defense. The Texans D will makes C.J Stroud’s life very easy in terms of what it will take to win, and I like the Texans to edge New England out in a lower scoring game. With the lines being so tight, I am going to alt-line the Bills up to +3 for -150.
On the ice, there are two early games and I am going to throw an alt-line parlay together to have some action on the two of them. I think both games will be high scoring with the Islanders and Flames being the lowest scoring of the games before 7.
