The Kings will be playing their third game since Tuesday, against three top teams. LA came back and beat Vegas overcoming a 5-3 deficit in the third. Winnipeg on the other hand fell short in their attempt to come back from a 5-1 deficit against Dallas on Thursday. Winnipeg showed life late and I think that momentum carries into this game at home against the Kings. The Kings are a good team, but I see their third matchup this week against three top opponents catching up to them. The Kings have not played great to start; in two games they have given up nine total goals. Winnipeg is pretty cheap tomorrow for a game I think they dominate and win.Â
The Blues have dominated this series, and were just embarrassed at home by the Wild. The Flames should not be a good team this year, and like the Kings, are coming off back to back games to open the season. The Flames beat the Oilers coming back from a 3-0 deficit, but it was the Oilers who essentially beat themselves. The Blues are at a cheap price here for -130 and think they will win. I am curious to see how quick the Blues 2.5 team total drops live as well.Â
Toronto and Detroit should be open and offensive. 5.5 is relatively cheap at -155. Cam Talbot is confirmed for tomorrow’s game. Talbot went 0-2-1 with a 4.13 GAA and was pulled after two periods in their second meeting. The Leafs no longer have superstar Mitch Marner, and are a team to watch this season. I am going to lay off this game pregame to see how the loss of Marner affects this matchup. If there are goals early we should be able to hop on it live.Â
I will have more tomorrow. Let’s lock in the 1:30 pm game now
